The Irish Exporters Association’s Asia Trade Forum (ATF), this morning held a breakfast seminar which provided a lively insight into the ICT sector across the Asian markets for over 90 guests. Hosted at the offices of A&L Goodbody, the event highlighted the range of business opportunities that exist between Ireland and Asia, in addition to, the importance of the tech industry to both economies.

At the event Epicom were announced as the winning case study for their export initiatives. The report, conducted by a team of seven UCD Master Graduates of the 2015 IEA ATF & UCD Smurfit Business School Mentoring Partnership, identified next markets for Epicom to enter and a market entry rationale.

John Cunningham commented: “What pleases me most is the depth of research that went into this report. It is easy to read and easy to understand the logic applied at each stage. I found the presentation full of energy, structured, fact based and with loads of personality.”

Patrick Cleary, Winning Team Leader, UCD Smurfit Business School stated: The project team and I would like to extend our sincere thanks to John Nevin, Joe Tynan and all at the Irish Exporters Association for presenting us with this Award. When the team and I embarked on this project, we knew that fulfilling a complex brief for a private sector client with established expectations would present us with considerable challenges. In the process of overcoming these challenges we have been left with a report of which we are immensely proud. The entire project would not have been possible without the excellent direction and cooperation of John Cunningham of Epicom Ltd. and the expert guidance provided to us by Dr. Seán Cassidy of UCD.”
